Host a Screening Party
On November 22nd CNN will broadcast The Hunting Ground documentary across the U.S., giving us a chance to educate millions of people about the mishandling of sexual assault on college and university campuses. Sign up to host a Screening Party and help us seize this opportunity.
Do screening parties matter?
Yes, this is an unprecedented opportunity to lift the conversation of campus sexual assault to a new audience. More important, it’s a great opportunity for committed supporters like you to foster in-depth conversation and organize meaningful action with your friends and neighbors.
What is a screening party?
Screening parties are about connecting with the community and creating a space for discussion about issues raised by the film. The subject of campus sexual assault is intense, but the screening party atmosphere is positive and friendly and most people leave with a renewed sense of community and purpose.
What is required of me?
Not much actually. All you need to do is secure a venue that will be able to show the CNN broadcast and fill out the form on the right so guests will know how to get there. We’ll send you a toolkit with everything you need to organize, promote and execute a successful screening party.
What if I want to attend a screening party, but I’m not up for hosting one?
If it feels like too much, you might consider co-hosting with a friend. Or you can attend someone else’s party. Click here to locate an existing screening party happening nearby. Of course you can just watch the movie alone, but we don’t recommend it. Be social.
